The working oil should have an appropriate viscosity, high density, stable performance, low acid value, high flash point, low pour point, and good lubrication properties.

Proper installation of the protective cover:

A protective cover (such as a metal plate with holes, with hole diameters around 10-12mm) should be installed on the fluid coupling, and it must meet the following requirements:

  • Prevent destructive foreign objects (such as stones, metal chips, etc.) from entering.
  • A certain safety distance must be maintained between the fluid coupling and the protective cover; they should not be too close.
  • The cover should be able to catch any molten metal or leaking working fluid from the fusible plug, preventing contact with other parts (such as motors, belts) to avoid overheating and fire.
  • The hole ratio of the protective cover should be at least 65%, ensuring sufficient ventilation to keep the fluid coupling's surface temperature below the specified maximum.
